Atlantic Service Station, wide view, 1956
A wide view of the ATLANTIC service station in downtown Vernon, which is now the location of the Circle K (2024). This is one of two in a set. They both came in a labeled manila envelope.
The former Vernon fire station can be seen in the background with its siren cupola on the roof.
On the left, is the Barton & Shaughnessy building, which included the DairyLea store, the Vernon Post Office and later Army & Navy. The Vernon Bus Terminal signage is visible for Central NY Coach Lines.
An emergency first aid sign is also visible, pointing possibly toward the fire station. A plumbing and heating oil truck is visible too.
