When David Tuttle was born on 15 October 1769, in New Haven, New Haven, Connecticut, United States, his father, Jehiel Tuttle, was 40 and his mother, Charity Dayton, was 39. He married Polly Austin in 1801, in Torrington, Litchfield, Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 7 daughters. He died in June 1834, in Vernon, Vernon, Oneida, New York, United States, at the age of 64, and was buried in Vernon Center Cemetery, Vernon Center, Town of Vernon, Oneida, New York, United States.
