Since 1919, the Legion has served veterans and the community of Vernon.
Details
Vernon’s American Legion Post was named, as was common, after the first resident service member killed in World War I. Meetings were held in the Village Town Hall.
In 1946, they purchased the S.S. Judson House from John Black, who had recently purchased it. Originally, it was built for Abram Van Eps and his second wife, who moved from Skaneateles.
